In order for BA to add a number of hotels to BP to help us ‘somehow test’ the platform we started switching ‘low end’ hotels that could have a low impact in case of any issues. These hotels require a basic setup, as some features are still unavailable.
Since we don’t want to put much effort into these hotels due to the low benefits they give to the company, they are being switched with a previous notification but with no personal contact or communication (unless anyone from Ops would like to have a more ‘personal’ approach).
The list is given from a mix of Hubspot and Super Admin data where each hotel's configuration and category is displayed. Based on this list, we have been capable of dividing hotels into 6 different categories (from ‘none’ and ‘D’ to ‘VIP’ hotels). These candidates are divided into 2:
- Standalone hotels (BE only clients):
- The switch must be done in Super and it can only be temporarily done by Product Team. (In the future it will be done by L1 Support).
- The switch must be done in Super and it can only be temporarily done by Product Team. (In the future it will be done by L1 Support).
- Smart hotels:
- A new ‘book now’ button will replace the current ‘booking mask’ or ‘date checker’. This will be temporarily done by the Product Team (In the future it will be done in the CMS by L2 Support).
During Q4 those ‘low end’ hotels (and other higher categories that might suit with the available features in BP) are being switched.
