Copy & paste content to my website?

You should clean your content before coping it to your CMS HTML editor.

Users frequently copy and paste text from applications like Word or Pages, as well as web pages, directly into the CMS editor. However, this can result in hidden markup being added to the web content, which may lead to layout or formatting problems when published.

Note its not good practice to use all capitals in paragraphs of text.

See above the inline styles hidden in the Source view of the content editor.

To easily switch between the visual editor and Source view, you can simply click on the "Source" button. By using the source view, you have the ability to inspect the HTML code for any hidden markup, such as inline styles, that could potentially override the styles of your website's main theme. To prevent any layout or formatting issues, follow the steps outlined below.

STEP 1

Firstly in the CMS editor toolbar select the "paste as plain text" tool

STEP 2

A dialog box will appear, allowing you to easily paste the content. Select "OK" we done!

STEP 3

Ensure that you review the Source view to confirm that there are no hidden inline styles in the HTML. If you find any remaining styles, you can easily remove them manually from the source view.

Another option is to copy the text directly into the Source view. However, it's important to note that this will remove the basic HTML structure. This can be beneficial if you only want plain text, but you will need to switch back to the visual editor to format the text.
