Getting started with Google Business Profile Manager

Google My Business is a free and easy-to-use tool for businesses and organizations to manage their online presence across Google, including Search and Maps. By verifying and editing your business information, you can help customers find you online and tell them the story of your business.
Follow these steps to get started:

  1. Sign in to Google My Business with your Gmail or Google account. If you don't already have access to your Google My Business account, you will need to request this from your Digital Marketing specialist.

       2. Click START NOW

        3. You´ll see all the Locations that you own listed in the same dashboard (if you own only one location, you can skip to point 5):

    4. Click on the Location name that you wish to manage:

   5. You´ll find the dashboard for your hotel where you can edit business details, upload photos, reply to reviews, and many more things that we will explain in the next sections.

Note: With the website option on Google My Business, Google can automatically use the information and photos from your Google My Business listing and create a site for those businesses that *do not*bolded text have their own website .
Be careful to avoid this option as the newly created website will replace your existing website in Google listings, with the format yourcompanyname.business.site. This can result in your traffic & conversions being negatively impacted.

Set up Notifications
In order to take full advantage of the opportunities presented by Google My Business, it is important to assign ownership of the platform to a member of your organisation. This person should monitor the account, respond to reviews and answer questions as they arise.
The easiest way to keep up to date with account activity is to set up notifications, so that an email is received when reviews are added or photos are uploaded etc. To set up notifications, sign in to the account as above - notifications will be sent to this sign in email address.
Go to Settings and ensure that all checkboxes are ticked as below:

Note: if you have multiple locations under one email address, this change will apply to all.
