Intelligent Pricing

Q: How can I activate Intelligent Pricing in my hotel?

A: You need to contact your Client Success Manager for activation. Once active, from that moment on, your Dynamic Discounts will be automatically mixed. 


Q: When mixing Dynamic Discounts, how will the system decide which is the best rate per night? 

A: Among all available Dynamic Discounts, the system will pick the best possible one per night (when conditions are met). Note: Meal plans or extra beds will not be taken into account in this first calculation. 


Q: What happens when the Dynamic Discounts should also apply to meal plans or extra beds?

A: Only room price will be taken into account for calculating the best Dynamic Discount. Once the system has calculated the best Dynamic Discount on the night, then that Dynamic Discount is applied to the meal plan and/or extra beds price on that night. 


Q: Will this new feature be able to mix BAR and Non Ref. rates within the same reservation?

A: Our system only mixes Dynamic Discounts within the same rate plan/package. 


Q: How will this new feature affect hotels that use Dynamic Discounts only for “eye catching“ sentences?

A: If there is only 1 DD on the rate plan/package, then nothing will change. Dynamic Discount combination will be applied only when there is more than 1 Dynamic Discount on the rate plan/package.  


Q: Is there any scenario where “Intelligent Pricing” will not be available?

A: Intelligent Pricing will be applied everywhere (mobile, dynamic calendar, flexible rates, Corp. rates, etc. and all meta search and Google Hotel Finder)


Q: How will “Intelligent Pricing” be displayed in reports in the Booking Engine Extranet?

A: All reservations completed with combination of Dynamic Discount will appear with the text “Combined discounts” in the “Bookings with dynamic discounts” report in Advanced Reports section in the Booking Engine Extranet.


Q: Will PMS see somehow the type of Dynamic Discounts booked per night?

A: Bookassist will only send the description of the Dynamic Discount applied and the name of the rate plan/package booked. In case of mixed rates, we will not send the specific Dynamic Discount booked per night but will indicate the text “SUPER! You've got the BEST possible discounts for your stay!” in brackets along with the name. 


Q: How will “Intelligent Pricing” be displayed in the reservation confirmation & email for clients vs hotel? 

A: If Dynamic Discounts were not mixed, and only 1 Dynamic Discount was applied, then we display the description of that Dynamic Discount. But when the system has mixed discounts, the following text will be displayed: “SUPER! You've got the BEST possible discounts for your stay!”.
