How to monitor your price competitiveness on Metasearch

One of the most important factors that influence your Metasearch campaign performances is how your official website rates stand against third parties and OTAs: the more competitive your price is, the better your Metasearch investment is likely to generate a return. 

Bookassist provide Metasearch customers* with a Price Competitiveness Report - also known as BML Report - which gives granular insights about: 

  • Beat Rate %: how often your hotel website had the best price on Metasearch against other advertisers; 
  • Meet Rate %: how often your hotel website had rate parity on Metasearch against other advertisers; 
  • Loose Rate %: how often your hotel website had a most expensive price on Metasearch against other advertisers. 

Data is available on a weekly basis and reports on the previous two weeks.

In addition, the BML Report can be also filtered furthermore in order to provide more granular insights in terms of: 

(a) Date: how your price competitiveness is looking like over a longer period of time

(b) Market: how your price competitiveness is looking like across the markets you are advertising in
