Best practice - How to succeed in the GDS?

To make your GDS sales a success, we recommend to you to take the following points into consideration:

  • Keep Rate Parity in ALL channels.

  • Maintain the Bookassist GDS reservation system on a daily basis – keep availability open that the

    agent can sell.

  • Inform your sales, reservation and reception team in the hotel about the new GDS provider.

  • Inform your local corporate partners, all companies you are dealing directly with.

  • Contact all Travel Agents which regularly book your property, they shall know your new codes.

  • Note your new chain codes on each print material, flyer or brochure, and also publish them on your hotel own website.

  • Introduce a special rate with your hotel`s launch in the GDSs if you want to push business.
